You WILL want to return here.  Beaches, Mountains, Food, and of course drink.  Loved it.
Food is King - Pintxo and more

Fresh fruits and vegetalbes in July.  I was addicted to cherries, bought by the Kilo. You begin your Pintxo Crawl about 7 pm for two hours, because nobody goes to have dinner until AFTER 9 pm - Nope, I never ever got used to starting dinner at my bed time.

Cherries and a beer from the Lobby vending machine was almost enough for dinner after a few hours of "Txikiteo" or bar hopping for food, not just a drink - although a Txakoli is sort of mandatory.

From both sides now

The two "Monte" guard the entrance and beaches of San Seabastian.  When we entered the city, the bus drove us up Monte Igueldo.  We took the Funicular down to the water to meet the bus.  Our hotel was in the shadow of Monte Urgull, which I rode up on a local bus and walking back down.  Playa Concha was busy, which is understandable considering how beautiful it truly is.
