The working city of Basque Country, with World Class culture and long history of industry.
Sleeping by Bilbao Old Town

Our hotel was in the Old Town (Casco Viejo), perfectly situated for the all important eating and drinking.  A fair share of Pintxo bars - but not near San Sebastian.  Walking or taking the modern tram is easy.  Note: in July it gets HOT... taking the tram is a lovely choice.
The Farewell dinner is both happy and sad.  Memories made and final good-byes.  Not everyone will be at breakfast in the morning when the tour is officially over, so for some it will be Farewell.... And still Keep on Traveling.
First look and a visit to the

Bilbao Guggenheim

Number One draw is the Guggenheim Bilbao, which is hidden by trees up along the river in the first photo.

Bilbao is a big city.  As one wanders throughout it, it feels like a place of transformation.  There is a blend of old industrial with new glass and shiny metal structures.  The gleaming curves of the Frank Gehry built museum is an adpt symbol for this city.
